I used Abigail again and this card is my favorite from the 3 that I have made. I first started out stamping Abigail and her outfit from Live Love Grow Stamp set onto white cardstock. I colored her in with Copic Markers and fussy cut her and the outfit out. I made my background using white cardstock cut to a A2 size and 2 different Distress inks Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire Oxide ink. I ink blended my cardstock and grabbed a scrap of cardstock to help with my design. I chose to do something unplanned and fun since I love stripes. My stripes are not even and that makes me like it even more. I sprayed some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Spray for fun. I am loving all the blues.

I used Sweet Cuts Circle Scalloped Frames with white cardstock. I also used Sweet Cuts Sweet Hello with white cardstock cut out a few times and Holographic cardstock. I layered everything onto a A2 card base. Lastly, I added some clear sequins. I hope you like it. I had a lot of fun making this card.

I first started out stamping the doll and outfit with black ink on white cardstock. I colored this doll Emma with black hair and used the stamp set Tackle One Cup at a Time for her outfit. I used pink ink to color her outfit and shoes using a blending brush. I fussy cut her outfit and used a black Copic marker to clean up the edges a little. I stamped the coffee cup with the same pink ink and fussy cut it out.

I made my background using kraft A2 size cardstock and the solid coffee cup from the stamp set using brown ink. I just rotated my stamp block. I stamped my sentiment onto pink cardstock and cut it with my paper trimmer. I glued everything to a pink A2 card base and added my sentiment with foam tape. Love Bugs-Valentine Cards

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I have some fun cute Valentine cards today. I used Reverese Confetti Love Bugs Stamp set. Along with other supplies I will have listed down below.

Here is a Video for you

Aren’t these bugs cute? I adore them. They are from the Love Bugs Stamp Set by Reverse Confetti. I made these cards for my kids for Valentine’s Day. I think these bugs can be used all year round, they are so cute. I first started out stamping them out with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossing them with Hero Arts Clear embossing powder onto Arteza Cold Press 110lb Paper. I used my Misti to help me get a good impression since this paper is not smooth. I colored them in with my Arteza Real Brush Pens and a Water Pen. I really like how they turned out. I cut them all out with the coordinating dies.

I used Doodlebug Lots Of Love Pattern Paper and a rectangle die to cut my paper out. I also used this fun Large Circle of hearts die that I cut out with white cardstock. I cut 2 out and ink blended a piece of white cardstock with Catherine Pooler inks and some large Blending Brushes. I used the heart die from the set and cut all my necessary hearts using my ink blended cardstock, to place on the circle die. I did a 2 color combo to match my bugs.

I glued my panels to my card bases and added my circle die-cuts. My sentiments are stamped with red flame ink on the circle die-cuts from the circle die. I added those die-cuts with foam tape. Some bugs are glued with liquid glue and some with foam tape.

Lastly, I added some Doodlebug Heart Sprinkles to my cards. I hope you like my cards and enjoyed my video. They were a lot of fun to make and I’m sure my kids will love them.

Thank you for stopping by!

February Release-Layered Candles

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I’m so excited It’s February and that means A Colorful Life Designs New February Release is Live. There are 16 New Designs and I hope you will check them out. I have a video that you can watch down below using the New Layered Candles Stencil. Supplies and a coupon code will be listed down below.

I used the New Layered Candles Stencil that is a layering stencil set that contains 2 stencils. One for the candles and one for the flames. I started out using Hammermill Cardstock and my Make Art Stay-tion. I used a ink cube set from The Stamp Market (Fresh Pink, Cactus, Melon, and Citrine). I thought that was a fun birthday combo. Any color combo would look great. Or you can do one color like I did for the inside of the card. After I was done ink blending I cut out my panel with a A2 rectangle die. I cut out a frame with the same cardstock and ink blended it to match using the pink ink called Fresh Pink.

Next I cut out a Circle using the same cardstock and stamped my candles image with MFT Extreme Black ink using my Misti Stamping Tool. I colored my image using Copic Markers. I used slightly different markers than my first card but still matching my ink blended panel. I glued my frame to my panel using liquid glue and added my circle with foam tape. My panel was glued to a A2 card base. I added some sequins from my stash to match using my Pick Up Stick Tool.

Here is the inside of my card where I used the Fresh Pink ink for the candles, Citrine for the flames, and Cactus for the sentiment from the Stamp Set. That finishes my project. I hope you like my cards and video. Please subscribe and like my video I do appreciate it. Check out the New Release here and use my code VonFan10 for 10% off your purchase. O Christmas Tree!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are doing well. Today is December 1st, My Birthday and I have some Christmas Tree Cards to share with you using A Colorful Life Designs. This Month instead of having a New Release, Mary Kay asked us which stencils we would like to work with for the month of December. This was so fun so I picked some Amazing Stencils. I will be sharing my picks this month and January we will have a Fabulous Release as always! I have a video down below of these simple Christmas cards.

On these simple cards I used the Marvelous Mask Christmas Tree Stencils. I cut some rectangle A2 card panel out using a Modern Embossed Rectangle die from Trinity Stamps. I then placed the stencil #2 over my kraft panel and used some Creative Expressions Sparkle Texture Paste Emerald using a spatula. After it dried, I flicked some Nugget hydracolour metallic paint splatters using a little bit of water and a paint brush.

I then stamped my sentiments with red ink using a stamp block with Simon Says Stamp Heart Of Christmas stamp set. I then added my card panels to A2 card bases. I hope you like my simple sparkle tree cards. They were a lot of fun to make and would be really easy to mass produce like I did these trio of cards. Use my code VonFan10 for 10% off at A Colorful Life Designs. I hope you like my cards and my video. I appreciate it if you subscribe to my channel.

Making Spirits Bright

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I’m so excited because A Colorful Life Designs October 2021 Release is here. Let me tell you it’s another Fun Amazing Release. There are 16 New Stencils. It will help you get ready for your Christmas and New Year Cards. I have a video for you down below of how I made this card.

I used this fun Layering Stencil set called Layered String Lights 1. I used Hammermill Cardstock today with Concord and 9th inks. I laid my stencil over my cardstock on my Make Art Stay-tion. The inks I used are Ballet Slippers, Sea Glass, Grapefruit, and Dove. I used small blending brushes for this process. It is easier to ink blend the lights. I also went in a diagonal direction. After I was done I cut out my panel with a stitched rectangle die.

I love the soft and non traditional look. I cut out some mint colored cardstock to layer my panel onto. I then flicked some Kuretake Tambi mint paint with water onto my panel with a paintbrush. I added both cardstock pieces to my A2 card base. I then used a tag die set and cut it out with leftover ink blending from the stencil and the mint cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from a stamp set in my stash with black ink. I glued them together and added an ink blended heart diecut and a mint colored seam binding bow. I hope you like my card, I had so much fun making it and I know you will love the whole Release. Use my code VonFan10 for 10% off your purchase. There is also a Master Creator Bundle that is 20% off which is a Amazing deal.

Cards, Mixed Media, and Glosses

Hi everyone! I have a card video today over on my YouTube Channel. You can watch down below or on HD on my channel.

I first started out playing with these Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays. I cut a sheet of Black heavy weight cardstock in half. I began spraying my cardstock. I didn’t want it to get warped too bad so I grabbed my Make Art Stay-tion to hold my cardstock with magnets.

When I was done with the sprays. I grabbed some yellow acrylic paint from my stash and used a paint brush to flick yellow paint and then I just painted on some paint. I watched Maria Willis who is Card Bomb on YouTube use it with Gilding flakes on a video. She is my insiration for my cards. So, I began pushing those flakes into the paint. It takes a bit to dry. You can probably use your heat tool. You can also try burnishing it in to your paper with a bone folder but I think your fingers work best. I then inked up a background stamp from Simon Says Stamp called Stained Glass Background with Gina K Designs White Pigment ink. Just the corner and placed it randomly on my paper. When my background was dry I cut it to slightly smaller than a A2 and added foam to the back before adding them to white card bases.

Next I added some premade foiled sentiments using Pinkfresh Studio and my spellbinders Hot Glimmer Foil System. I just layered my sentiments with kraft heavy weight cardstock. I just run the sentiments die through my diecutting machine and glue them so they are a little bit thicker. Lastly, I added gold pearls. I hope you like my cards and enjoyed my video.

4th Of July card featuring Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! I made a card, a 4th of July card and I even have a video. You can watch it here or on my YouTube Channel Vonmariedesign.

I adore these critters from Lawn Fawn and I knew I had to make a card with them because the Newest Release is already available. and I can’t wait to get those items in my hands. I needed to make a 4th of July card since I have this fun Firework stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. I sprayed my cardstock with Pixie spray and used Stormy Sky and Campfire Wilderness for my Distress Oxide ink color using blending tools from Taylored Expressions. I really like the end results. Next I stamped these critters from Happy Hugs onto my cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I colored them in with my Copic Markers and then used the Happy Hugs die to cut them using my Spellbinders Platinum Machine. I was looking for a scalloped circle but came across this die that did the stitching of a scalloped circle. I thought that was neat and I didn’t have to cover up my background. I then used the smallest star because that too gave just the stitching marks.

I cut my panel slightly smaller than a A2 panel using my paper trimmer. I stamped my sentiment in Stormy Sky distress ink and cut it out with a banner die. I added foam strips to my image and sentiment and added them to my panel. My panel was then added to a A2 top folding card base. I then used Confetti stars from my stash and Sapphire Jewels from Pinkfresh Studio. I hope you enjoyed my video and card process. It was so much fun. I also will be linking this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Red/White and/ or Blue.

Thank you for stopping by!
