I made these cute Monster Treat Bags using Lawn Fawn’s Monster Mash Stamp Set and Die Set. I also use A Colorful Life Designs Tangled Web Stencil from the September Release I believe. I just ink blended with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. I stamped the monster images on Hammermill cardstock 110lb and colored them in with Copic Markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I used some Glassine Bags with purple cardstock cut at 2 1/4 x 5 inches. I cut my stenciled panel with a circle die and glued everything together. I then added some pops of color for decoration. They were so fun to make and would be fun to make with kid. I hope you enjoy this fun Hop!

Making Spirits Bright

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I’m so excited because A Colorful Life Designs October 2021 Release is here. Let me tell you it’s another Fun Amazing Release. There are 16 New Stencils. It will help you get ready for your Christmas and New Year Cards. I have a video for you down below of how I made this card.

I used this fun Layering Stencil set called Layered String Lights 1. I used Hammermill Cardstock today with Concord and 9th inks. I laid my stencil over my cardstock on my Make Art Stay-tion. The inks I used are Ballet Slippers, Sea Glass, Grapefruit, and Dove. I used small blending brushes for this process. It is easier to ink blend the lights. I also went in a diagonal direction. After I was done I cut out my panel with a stitched rectangle die.

I love the soft and non traditional look. I cut out some mint colored cardstock to layer my panel onto. I then flicked some Kuretake Tambi mint paint with water onto my panel with a paintbrush. I added both cardstock pieces to my A2 card base. I then used a tag die set and cut it out with leftover ink blending from the stencil and the mint cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from a stamp set in my stash with black ink. I glued them together and added an ink blended heart diecut and a mint colored seam binding bow. I hope you like my card, I had so much fun making it and I know you will love the whole Release. Use my code VonFan10 for 10% off your purchase. There is also a Master Creator Bundle that is 20% off which is a Amazing deal.

Cards, Mixed Media, and Glosses

Hi everyone! I have a card video today over on my YouTube Channel. You can watch down below or on HD on my channel.

I first started out playing with these Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays. I cut a sheet of Black heavy weight cardstock in half. I began spraying my cardstock. I didn’t want it to get warped too bad so I grabbed my Make Art Stay-tion to hold my cardstock with magnets.

When I was done with the sprays. I grabbed some yellow acrylic paint from my stash and used a paint brush to flick yellow paint and then I just painted on some paint. I watched Maria Willis who is Card Bomb on YouTube use it with Gilding flakes on a video. She is my insiration for my cards. So, I began pushing those flakes into the paint. It takes a bit to dry. You can probably use your heat tool. You can also try burnishing it in to your paper with a bone folder but I think your fingers work best. I then inked up a background stamp from Simon Says Stamp called Stained Glass Background with Gina K Designs White Pigment ink. Just the corner and placed it randomly on my paper. When my background was dry I cut it to slightly smaller than a A2 and added foam to the back before adding them to white card bases.

Next I added some premade foiled sentiments using Pinkfresh Studio and my spellbinders Hot Glimmer Foil System. I just layered my sentiments with kraft heavy weight cardstock. I just run the sentiments die through my diecutting machine and glue them so they are a little bit thicker. Lastly, I added gold pearls. I hope you like my cards and enjoyed my video.

4th Of July card featuring Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! I made a card, a 4th of July card and I even have a video. You can watch it here or on my YouTube Channel Vonmariedesign.

I adore these critters from Lawn Fawn and I knew I had to make a card with them because the Newest Release is already available. and I can’t wait to get those items in my hands. I needed to make a 4th of July card since I have this fun Firework stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. I sprayed my cardstock with Pixie spray and used Stormy Sky and Campfire Wilderness for my Distress Oxide ink color using blending tools from Taylored Expressions. I really like the end results. Next I stamped these critters from Happy Hugs onto my cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I colored them in with my Copic Markers and then used the Happy Hugs die to cut them using my Spellbinders Platinum Machine. I was looking for a scalloped circle but came across this die that did the stitching of a scalloped circle. I thought that was neat and I didn’t have to cover up my background. I then used the smallest star because that too gave just the stitching marks.

I cut my panel slightly smaller than a A2 panel using my paper trimmer. I stamped my sentiment in Stormy Sky distress ink and cut it out with a banner die. I added foam strips to my image and sentiment and added them to my panel. My panel was then added to a A2 top folding card base. I then used Confetti stars from my stash and Sapphire Jewels from Pinkfresh Studio. I hope you enjoyed my video and card process. It was so much fun. I also will be linking this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Red/White and/ or Blue.

Thank you for stopping by!

Rainbow Builder Cards

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I made a video using A Rainbow Builder Stencil from Simon Says Stamp and you can watch the video here on YouTube.

I made three cards two on my own and one on video. On my first card(on the right) I first cut some Neenah Solar White 110lb. cardstock out and then laid this stencil out to make clouds using Catherine Pooler’s DayDream Dye ink. I then started with the biggest arch for the Rainbow Builder in this order Peppermint Scrub, Mandarin Spice, Sauna, and Eucalyptus. I wanted some clouds for my rainbow so then I used the stencil with DayDream with a heavy hand on my ink blending. Not too hard as I love to use a heavy hand. I cut my panel down and placed it in my Mini Misti to stamp the sentiment from a Concord and 9th Stamp set using Sauna ink. On my second card that is in Landscape form I did the same thing only I added a sun and sunrays using Sauna ink. I then added White Hearts to embellish them. I watched Nichol Spohr’s video and she used the stencil on her yellow envelopes so I did too. So that is where that inspiration came from.

Here is the one I did on video, using a different sentiment and ink color in Eucalyptus. I hope you have enjoyed my Rainbow Cards today. All products are listed down below. I appreciate your support.

Thank You So Much!

Hello Friend

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I have a video of my newest card to share with you using CZ Design and Simon Says Stamp Products. I hope you’ll watch and subscribe. Thank you for your support.

In this video I used CZ Design Narwhal Friends Stamp Set and Narwhal Friends Die Set, Mini Slimline Rectangles, and a Maker Forte Stencil Going in Circles. I stamped them onto Fabriano 140lb. Coldpress cardstock using Versafine Onyx ink and Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder using my Misti Stamping Tool. I colored these cute Narwhals with Tombow Dual Brush Markers and a little bit of water using a Silver Black Velvet Brush. I colored them all the same and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I like how the dies cuts out the sentiments too.

I cut out some Bristol Smooth cardstock and used a Stencil from Marker Forte with Catherine Poolers New Cove Blue ink and a Altenew Large Blending Tool. I cut my panel with the largest slimline die and added it to a Mini Slimline Card Base. I added all of my Narwhals using Bearly Arts Glue. I added some matching sequins from Catherine Poolers Portland Mix and that finishes my card. I hope you like it and my video. Thank you for stopping by!

Stamp Layering Spring Cards Using The Greetery

Hello everyone! I have some Spring cards using The Greetery and doing some Stamp Layering. I have a YouTube Video and I hope you will watch and subscribe to my channel here:

I had so much fun using my Catherine Pooler inks and playing with Always in Bloom Stamp and Coordinating die set from The Greetery. I first started out with Neenah Solar White 80 lb. Cardstock and using my Misti I placed my paper and began stamping the greenery for the florals first using Catherine Pooler ink Bundles in Zen Garden in Spruce. I also used Rose petals and Peppermint Scrub from Paradise Found Spa for the Florals for the red stamp layering combo. The Color Combo for the blue florals were DayDream and Juniper Mist using Catherine Pooler Paradise Found Spa Ink Bundle. When I had a few florals I cut them out with The Greetery’s Always in Bloom Dies. I also stamped the” Bloom” stamp word in the same colors to match. I then die cut it out an additional three times for dimension before gluing them together with liquid glue.

I then Diecut my A2 Rectangle Panel, Circle Panel, and Slimline Panel using The Greetery’s Crimped Dies using White and Navy Blue Cardstock. I rearranged my florals to my liking and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Nocturne ink using my Misti. I added some Double Thick Clear Foam Tape to the back of my florals on my Slimline panel and no foam tape to the A2 panel. I glued my panels to my card bases and added Catherine Pooler Sequins in Portland and Butterfly Clay embellishments from my stash to decorate my cards.

Here is the card I made on my YouTube Channel. I only did one color combo using a different ink color combo in Rose Petals and Polished from Catherine Pooler inks Zen Garden. I used my Faber Castell PolyChromos Colored pencils in Pink Carmine and Phthalo Green for shading and White Pops Of Color drops to decorate my card. I hope you like all my cards they were so fun and easy to make. Definitely great for Mass Producing. I will be back soon with another Blog Post. Happy Crafting!

Just Because

Hi everyone, I have a video today on my YouTube Channel showing my process of this card I made using Taylored Expressions products. I would love for you to subscribe and give me a thumbs up.

I used the Circle Botanical Stamp set that I stamped onto Neenah Desert Storm 80lb cardstock. I placed it into my Misti and inked it up with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I then did some simple Copic Coloring. As I mentioned in my video I had played with this stamp before and one time I couldn’t get it inked up nicely and the second time it looked like a St. Patrick’s Day card. This time maybe a Christmas Card, what do you think? I believe on Neenah Solar White it might look differently. After I finished coloring I took a circle die and ran it through my die cutting machine. I then flicked White and green Metallic paint onto my image with a paintbrush and a little bit of water. I then die cut my panel with a stitched rectangle.

I then copic colored the circle diecut for the center and heat embossed it with the Botanical Sentiments. I added scraps of foam tape and copic colored the foam to match as glued in the back of my circle diecut and rectangle before added to my card base. My panel was added to a A2 card base and sequins were added to match. I hope you enjoyed my card process. And it might be my first Christmas Card for the year. What do you think? I will be back soon with another project, Happy Crafting!

A Mother’s Day Card using pattern Paper

Hi everyone! I’m participating in a YouTube Hop with Crafters Collab and I am so excited. We are to make a Mother’s Day card using Pattern paper. I would love for you to watch my video here and Subscribe to my channel. There are prizes to be won so leave a comment.

All details for the hop are on my YouTube Channel

So I chose to use Simon Says Stamp Thankful Flowers. I stamped the florals in Jet Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80lb. cardstock using my Misti. I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut them out before coloring them in with my Copic Markers. I flicked some Copic White paint splatters with a little bit of water onto my florals. The pattern paper I used is from Journals for Life Friend Pattern Paper pack 6×6 that I cut out using a Stitched Lacy Layers Rectangles from Waffle Flower Crafts using my Spellbinders Platinum.

I glued my patterned paper with Bearly Arts Glue to a A2 card base. I also glued my flowers arranging them how I wanted them. I stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti Hatbox Florals stamp set onto white cardstock with Jet Black ink. I then cut it with my paper trimmer and mounted it to my panel with foam tape. Lastly, I added some Catherine Pooler sequins in Romance with On Point Glue. I hope you enjoyed my card process today. Leave a comment on my channel, must be subscribed to be one of the Lucky Winners to receive a Pattern Paper Pack from Jamie’s Dots for Spring. There will be 6 winners.

* The YouTube Crafters Links Participating are in my description Box on my channel.

Thanks for being there!

Hi everyone! I have a coloring card process video over on my YouTube Channel. You can watch it here:

I made this card using Unity Stamps Care and Hope Iris illustrated by friend Sandhya Ilyer. It’s such a beauty. I first stamped it onto Canson Mixed Media 138lb. watercolor paper with Versafine ink and Clear embossing powder from Hero Arts. I began coloring with my New Tombow Markers with tropical colors in mind. The colors I used are 195, 725, 817, 126, and 026. I used my #2 Silver Black Velvet Brush with a little bit of water. I did dry my panel in between layers using my Wagner Heat Tool. I also used my Prismacolor Colored pencils for the nooks and crannies in Pc034 Golden rod, and Pc 913 Spring Green. I then used Ellen Hutson’s Rectangle frame dies to cut out my panel using my Spellbinders Platinum die cutting Machine. I also cut it out with a orangly color to match my background and doubled them up. I added foam to my A2 card base which I like the dimension a little bit more than foam tape sometimes before adding my panel.

I had stamped and heat embossed a bunch of these sentiment strips from Taylored Expressions You are the Best and then used the Asymmetrical die to cut them out. I also added foam to the back before adding it onto my panel. Lastly, I added some sequins from Catherine Pooler to match. I hope you have enjoyed my card and details. Thank you for stopping by!
