Pool Cards

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great week. I have some fun and really cute cards to share with you using Unity Stamps and since there are some Red/ White/ and Blue Challenges I made my cards using this color theme for my Summer Cards. I also plan on mailing these cards (wish me luck) LOL I have been behind on Happy Mail.

Aren’t these cards cute? I love girl images like this. This Stamp image was illustrated by my friend Sandhya Iyer and this stamp set is called Float Away. It’s so fun and when I seen it I knew I had to have it. I first started out making this card. I stamped this rubber stamp into my Mini Misti Stamping Platform. I used Fabriano Coldpress140lb Watercolor paper. I stamped the image with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and embossed with Hero Arts Clear embossing powder. The Pressure Pal Tool was so helpful for getting my image crisp. I taped down my image onto a wooden board using painters tape to hold it down and painted with my Karin Markers and a Altenew detailed watercolor Brush and water. I painted water around my image for fun. After, I achieved the look I desired I cut my panel with my paper trimmer. I cut out some white cardstock 110lb to use with MFT”s Pool Water Stencil. I used that stencil with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink and a Simon Says stamp Blender Brush. I then cut it out with a Gina Marie Designs Double Stitched A2 Rectangle die. I added foam to the back of my image and glued my image and panel to a A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment with Nocturne ink and cut out my sentiment with a banner die. I added foam partially on the back before adhering it. Lastly, I added some Pinkfresh Studio Glacier Jewels.

, On this card I changed the coloring around and the bating suit design. Everything else is the same except I fussy cut the image this time and added foam to the back before adding it to my ink blended background. The sentiment banner is glued on and more Glacier Jewels added. I hope you have enjoyed my Summer Red/Blue/ and White cards. So much fun to make. Thank you for stopping by!

Hey Girl Hey…

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. I love ink blending so I made some quick Slimline Cards today. Let’s get started!

I had to make some quick Thank You cards and I wanted Slimline cards so I used Neenah Solar White cardstock 80 lb, STAMPlorations Burst Slimline Stencil with Distress Oxide inks in Salvaged Patina and Flamingo Kitsch with my Blending Tools. I am so in love with these new Distress ink colors. I will be making more cards with this combo. I then used for my sentiment Unity Stamps Say It Big Coordinating Die Set. I cut out the shadow in black cardstock using my Spellbinders Platinum Diecutting Machine 8.5 and ink blended white cardstock for one of my words with Salvaged Patina before cutting it out. The other is cut out with pink cardstock. I really love these dies. I used for the Mini Strips Fun and Funny from Taylored Expressions that were already embossed with Versamark and Wow Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder onto black cardstock. I then have them cut out with the Taylored Expressions Asymmetrical die and placed in a storage box ready to go from Taylored Expressions. It is really handy to have sentiments ready to go!

I cut out my inked backgrounds with Trinity Stamps Slimline Card Series Scalloped Card Panels and Banners, using the largest slimline die. I then glued my Slimline panels to my Slimline Card bases with Bearly Arts Glue. I then added my word sentiments with the same liquid glue. Lastly, I added sequins from Catherine Pooler Romance with On Point Glue. This glue is a really strong glue and my sequins don’t fall off when I use it. That has been my favorite sequins mix for a while now. I hope you enjoyed my cards, they were so easy and fun to make. I will be back with another blog post soon.
