Make A Wish and a Light Up Card!

Hello Everyone! I am so excited I made my first light up card using Pear Blossom Press EZ-LIGHT and MFT Stamps. I have two Birthday cards for you today. Let’s get started!

Aren’t they cute?? I love how my backgrounds turned out too. I colored the girl image on the right from MFT Wish Granted for the Dailymarker30day that I posted on Instagram. She was stamped onto Neenah Solar White 80lb with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink, I then fussy cut her out. I decided to color another one of these sweet images because I really love fairies and this one is just too cute.

To make my backgrounds I started out with a A2 black piece of cardstock 80lb. I then used Distress Ink Kitsch Flamingo Distress ink adding ink in a circular motion in the center of my panel. I then added Seedless Preserves Distress ink. I did that a few times taking turns until I got the look I wanted using my blending tools. I then sprayed Distress Oxide Spray in Shaded Lilac and when it was dried I used Picket Fence Distress Spray. When that was dry I added Hydracolour watercolor paints from Etsy in Chrome flicking drops with my paintbrush. I then made another panel repeating the same process to use for the other girl image I colored. On this Panel I used Tim Holtz Swirling Stars Thinlits that I diecut on this panel because I wanted to make a light up card. My first one that had been on my list of things to make. It was quite easy to do just leaning about placement which I used scotch tape to place my wires where I wanted them. I added some vellum so that my stars were not too bright and then added foam tape around my light button and placed around to even my card front before I added it to a black A2 card base. I used the New Bunny Moon from TRHD for the stamp image that says “press me” that I stamped on white cardstock in Jet Black ink and colored it with a Copic marker before fussy cutting it out.

Isn’t it fun?? I love it so much and it was really easy to put together. I was nervous for nothing LOL. I stamped the sentiment with Altenew Obsidian black dye ink onto white cardstock I copic colored and then cut out with my paper trimmer. They were then added to both of my cards with liquid glue.

On this one I used the stars from the Tim Holtz Swirling Stars die set and cut them out with a purple glitter cardstock. On both cards the fairies wings and wands have coarse glitter on them. I hope you like my cards they were so much fun to make especially the light up one of course.

A Sunflower Birthday Card

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday. I hope your having a great week. Can you believe we are almost finished with April? It blows my mind how time flies. I am happy to be half way through the week though and I am really enjoying thedailymarker30day challenge. Today for day 7 I used a Sunflower for my Birthday card today. I love sunflowers they are one of my favorite flowers and my husband recently got me a bouquet of flowers and it had a great big sunflower in it for our Anniversary.

I printed this sunflower Digi from the Farmers Market Digi Stamp set from the Not2Shabby Shop onto Georgia Pacific 110 cardstock. I colored it in with my Copic Markers and Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I then cut it out with a circle die from Waffle Flower Crafts. I layered it with another circle using kraft cardstock and adding foam tape to the back. I then used a Corner 3D Floral embossing folder from Memorybox. I cut out some white cardstock using a stitched rectangle and then I inked some Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink in the embossing folder and placed my cardstock inside the folder to run through my Spellbinders Platinum cutting machine. I saw Jennifer McGuire’s Video where she did this technique. Although I’m not sure it looks as great, her cards always look AMAZING. It is kind of a cool look though. I used a sanding block like Jennifer does and sanded it on my panel slightly

I then cut out my sentiment from Sprinkled With Love Digi Stamp Set using my paper trimmer and then I layered it with kraft cardstock. I always have birthdays coming up and who doesn’t like sunflowers right? I glued my embossed panel to a A2 card base and added my circle image with liquid glue and my sentiment with foam tape. I then added some sequins to match. I hope you have enjoyed my card. I will be back with another project. Happy Crafting!
