Stenciled Birthday Cards

Hi everyone! i hope you are doing well. I have some fun Birthday cards I made using this New Stamp/Stencil Combo Set from Taylored Expressions.

I had so much fun making these cards. You get to build these party Hats in fun colors and they are labeled. I first cut out some Hammermill Cardstock 110lb. I placed both my my cardstocks into my Mist Stamping Tool. I used the Stamp set first from Taylored Expressions Party Time Stamp & Stencil Combo. I stamped them with Sangria Dye ink from Catherine Pooler Urban Oasis Collection. I then placed Stencil 1in my Make Art-Stay-tion using my magnets to hold my cardstock and stencil in place. I lined up the dots and ink blended with Catherine Pooler Do-Si-Do ink color. Next I placed Stencil 2 onto my cardstock and ink blended with Rouge ink color from Catherine Pooler Urban Oasis Collection. Lastly, for stencil 3 I used Salvaged Patina Distress ink for the confetti.

On both cardstock pieces I would use the same stencil on both, I would just clean each stencil and grab a new brush and ink color.

On this card panel I used Orange Peel ink color for stencil one, and Queen for a day for stencil 2. On stencil 3 I used Stone Blue Ink color for the confetti. I cut out my nanels and layering rectangle with the Waffle Flower Crafts Lacy Rectangle Die Set. I added foam between the layers before adding them to a A2 card base. I stamped the sentiments from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Backgrounds on white cardstock and Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I cut them out with the coordinating die set. I added a foam strip before adding them to my card fronts. Lastly, I added some enamel dots from my stash. I hope you like my Birthday Party Hats Cards.

Cupcake Cards

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I am trying to keep busy. I recently purchased this really fun birthday stencil and Cupcake Stamp and Die Set from Hero Arts and Since I belong to a FB card group I needed to get my September Birthday cards made and mailed out.

I love Cupcakes? and Cupcake cards. Don’t you? I couldn’t resist this stamp and die set called Color Layering Cupcake. I first used the Hero Arts Stencil called Streamer onto Neenah Solar white 80lb. cardstock. I cut my sheet of cardstock in four panels. I placed each panel down and placed my stencil over it. I had fun using different color combinations using Catherine Pooler bundle dye inks.

After my backgrounds, I used the Cupcake layering stamp and die set in colored inks to match my backgrounds. I did stamp the cupcake wrapper in black to try it out, that has a cool look to it too. The layering was so much fun. On some I used a brown ink for the cake of the cupcake to show and some for it not to show. I would cut them out with the coordinating die set after. I did have two extra cupcakes and cherries so I made those with a with background.

my backgrounds were cut out using a Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die from Pinkfresh Studio. I also used a Circle die to match. I stamped the ones with a stenciled background with the sentiment on the circle with a curved look using my Mist Stamping Platform. On the other two circle diecuts I stamped the sentiment onto the panel and added some sprinkles on one for fun. I glued and used foam to back some of my panels especially the ones with polka dot ribbon. I like the ribbon and I always forget to use it. I decided just to add some sprinkles on some cards. I chose for no embellishments on these cards. All my panels were added to a A2 card base. I hope you like my Birthday Cupcake cards. I kinda want to make more to have a bunch for my stash.

4th Of July card featuring Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! I made a card, a 4th of July card and I even have a video. You can watch it here or on my YouTube Channel Vonmariedesign.

I adore these critters from Lawn Fawn and I knew I had to make a card with them because the Newest Release is already available. and I can’t wait to get those items in my hands. I needed to make a 4th of July card since I have this fun Firework stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. I sprayed my cardstock with Pixie spray and used Stormy Sky and Campfire Wilderness for my Distress Oxide ink color using blending tools from Taylored Expressions. I really like the end results. Next I stamped these critters from Happy Hugs onto my cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I colored them in with my Copic Markers and then used the Happy Hugs die to cut them using my Spellbinders Platinum Machine. I was looking for a scalloped circle but came across this die that did the stitching of a scalloped circle. I thought that was neat and I didn’t have to cover up my background. I then used the smallest star because that too gave just the stitching marks.

I cut my panel slightly smaller than a A2 panel using my paper trimmer. I stamped my sentiment in Stormy Sky distress ink and cut it out with a banner die. I added foam strips to my image and sentiment and added them to my panel. My panel was then added to a A2 top folding card base. I then used Confetti stars from my stash and Sapphire Jewels from Pinkfresh Studio. I hope you enjoyed my video and card process. It was so much fun. I also will be linking this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Red/White and/ or Blue.
