Level Up Birthday Card!

Hi everyone! I have a Special Birthday Card to share with you and it’s another light up card using EZ Lights from Pear Blossom Press.

Today is my Son’s Birthday he is 7. He has been so excited counting down everyday. And he should right?? He has been so excited with my light up cards that I thought I am going to make him one. So I used MFT’s Game Controller Die-Namics. It’s a great die and I have a few gamers in my family. I copic colored some Neenah Solar White cardstock for the buttons on the controller before running the dies through my Spellbinders Platinum Machine. I used heavy weight black cardstock for the controller and diecut it two times for dimension.

I then stamped and heat embossed this cute boy image from The Greeting Farm’s Gamer Couple. I had used the girl previously for my daughter so I was happy to used this boy for my son. I copic colored him and matched his clothes to my sons clothes. I then fussy cut him out. I made the background stamping the small icon images from the stamp set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink using my Misti. I colored those images with copic markers too. I added my EZ Lights to the back of my background panel. I used a small hole puncher to have my lights show through. I use scotch tape to secure my wires into place. I then added Clear Foam Tape 5MM to the ends so that my power button would not be noticeable at all. I then cut my background to layer on a 4.25 x 5.5 black cardstock and then glued them to my A2 card base. The boy and controller were glued with liquid glue.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the same Gamer Couple stamp set onto Pear Blossom Press’s Black sentiment cardstock with Versamark and WOW Bright White Opaque embossing powder. I cut them down with my paper trimmer. The “Press Here” sentiment is from MFT Interactve Labels that I heat embossed and cut out with a circle die from Waffle Flower Crafts. I hope you like my card, it was a lot of fun to make and I know my son will love it!!

We Are Gazing At The Same Stars

Hello everyone! I have a fun light up card for you today using Bunny Moon from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I hope you are doing well and enjoying the weather. It is getting very hot where I live now weather 90’s and 100’s already!! Thankfully my AC is amazing, Okay well let’s get started.

Isn’t this bunny the cutest?? I love it!! I first ink blended my background. I used distress inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, and Dusty Concord onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock using my blending brushes. When I was happy with my ink blending I flicked water droplets onto my panel and used a paper towel to absorb the rest of the water. I then used Hydracolour paints from Etsy in Chrome, and Bubble Gum. I then spritz some Picket Fence Distress Oxide ink. I really like how the the background turned out.

I stamped this cute Bunny onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock 80lb. with Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn. I used my Misti to get a good crisp image. I then colored it in with my Copic Markers and fussy cut it out. Later I stamped the solid star in Seedless Preserves Distress ink and fussy cut it out as well as the “Press Me” star image that I copic colored and fussy cut out too. I then used a Sunny Studio Scalloped Circle die and a Stitched A2 rectangle die from waffle Flower Crafts and cut them at the same time in my Spellbinders Platinum 8.5.

Here is where I used The Rabbit Hole Designs Clear Foam Tape 5 MM and Pear Blossom Press Halo Lights to secure my lights. Yo just pull the red backing off of the clear tape. I like to use my non sticking scissors to help me. I did punch holes with a hole puncher on my card front so I knew where to adhere the Halo lights. I added foam to my A2 card base and then glued my secured card front to the foam. All my other images were glued on with Liquid glue.

And here is where you press the button and the magic happens.

Here is the sentiment that I stamped inside my card using Moon Bunny and a leftover scrap from my ink blended background. I hope you like my card it was so fun to make and I can’t help myself I keep pushing that “Press Me” button. I will be back soon with another project!
