Where The Flowers Bloom So Does Hope!

Hi everyone!!! I hope you are doing well and enjoying the Spring Season. Spring is my favorite Season and it is starting to get really warm. Today I turned my stencil backgrounds into cards. You might have seen them on Instagram where I colored my ink blended stenciled backgrounds with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils. Channeling my inner Kathyrac from thedailymarker30day.

I really love to foil and The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System is so much fun and easy. I have talked to a few friends who have doubts getting a new foil system. I was too but I am so happy I took the risk and grabbed it during one of their sales. I have tried other systems, I do own some and The Glimmer System is just more satisfactory to me. It takes seconds once warmed up to get your results. Maybe Minutes not seconds but you catch my drift. LOL. On these cards I used the Pretty Pink Posh Spring Flowers Stencils Which is a 2 pack. I first used yellow 65lb. cardstock with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink for my greenery. I then used Kitsch Flamingo, Carved Pumpkin, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink with my Blending Brushes for my flowers. Here is where I was inspired from Kathyrac. She always uses colored pencils so I used my Prismacolor Colored pencils on my ink, I even drew in centers for some of those flowers with my white pencil.

I then cut out my backgrounds with The Greetery’s Crimped Rectangle dies. I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System for my sentiment. I used Yana’s Blooming Birthday Collection Floral Background Plates and dies with Polished Brass Glimmer Foil. I foiled the sentiment on yellow paper to match. I then used the die to cut out a backing three times with my Spellbinders Platinum 8.5 for each sentiment. I love the depth. I then grabbed some gold metallic thread and wound it up to place on my panel before adding the sentiment. I added foam from my stash and added it to the back of my panel before adding it to my card bases. I chose to do a portrait and landscape card with White and Kraft card bases.

I also added Gold sequins with On Point Glue to my cards and that finishes off my cards. I hope you like my foil cards I will be back to share with you some more that I created soon. Happy Crafting!

Floral Sprigs Stenciling and Foiled Cards

Hi everyone! I hope your having a great day. I have been having sooo much fun with my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, and I have two cards to share with you today!

I first started out with Broken China Distress Oxide ink, white cardstock 110 lb., Blending Brush, and the Floral Sprigs Stencil from Scrapbook.com. I used two 8.5x 11 pieces of cardstock so that I had enough background to cover 2-3 cards. I really love this stencil and it was perfect for my cards today. I added some silver flicks of paint using my paint brush and water to match the Silver Foil. I used the Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Rectangles plates and Silver Glimmer Foil. Even though it looks gold in my photos it is really a nice silver. I then cut my rectangle panel with my paper trimmer. I then used Laurie Willison’s Effortless sentiments with the sliver glimmer foil onto light blue cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I also used the die to cut out two more diecuts to layer my sentiment for dimension. I added my panel to a A2 card base and my sentiment with liquid glue. Sympathy cards are so hard to make but I really love this one. I then added a hemp bow and different shades of blue sequins to match.

On this card I made a Mini Slimline card using the Mini Slimline Rectangle Wafer Dies from Simon Says Stamp. I then foiled the flower on blue cardstock from Yana Smakula’s Blooming Birthday Collection Glimmering Peony Glimmer Plate with Silver foil and then I fussy cut it out. I love this peony it’s so pretty. Next time I will color it but I love just seeing the foil on this card. It’s so beautiful. I then added a sentiment using the More Sentiments Glimmer plates on the same blue cardstock and foil using my paper trimmer to cut it out. My panel with then added with foam tape to a card base and I popped the Peony up with foam tape as well as the sentiment. Lots of dimension. I then added silver sequins to match. I hope you have enjoyed my cards.

Thinking of You!

Hi everyone! Today I have another card to share with you. I recently purchased a Spellbinders Hot Glimmer Foil System Machine. I was hesitant about getting one since I own a a few foil machines and products for foil. Also my friend gifted me some glimmer plates so I took the chance while Spellbinders was having a sale. I love foil on cards and this machine is so fun and addicting that today I made 3 cards. I will show you one of those now.

On this card I used foil and glitter. I think you can’t go wrong with the two. I couldn’t find my blue foil for my flower dies so hopefully next time a whole different look. I first used Memory Box Widlflower Stems with blue glitter cardstock and put them aside. I then used Spellbinders Effortless sentiments from Laurie Wilson with Spellbinders Skybright Glimmer foil over black cardstock and then using the shadow cutting die to cut out my sentiment.

I used the Spellbinders Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Rectangles also with the Skybright Foil onto Simon Says Stamp White cardstock 120lb. It wasn’t perfect I had over foiling, but I think it was fine. On my next card it came out a lot better. This is my first time using this machine so practice makes perfect right? I trimmed my rectangle and glued it to a black A2 card base. I added my stems and added my sentiment with foam tape. I had this perfect blue mix of sequins on my desk so I added some onto my panel with On Point glue. I hope you like my card using the Spellbinders Glimmer foil system. I will be back to show you my other cards that I made.
