Rainbow is my Favorite Color

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great week. I had a fantastic week. It was Spring Break here. We didn’t go anywhere this time, but we sure enjoyed resting. I have a fun card today, I hope you like it!

This card makes me smile, I hope it makes you smile too. Well, I have been interested in stitching for some time. My Mother in law cross stitches all the time and makes frameable projects all the time. So I broke out a square stitch die retired from Paper Smooches. I’m a Newbie so I chose to do a simple sun, and sky for my background using a paper needle from my stash and embroidery floss. I used white cardstock and ran the die through my Spellbinders Platinum die-cutting machine. It was so relaxing!

I cut my stitched panel with my paper trimmer. With white cardstock I cut a rainbow arch and clouds using Concord & 9th Rainbow Stitches & Strings Die. I then chose to Copic Color it to bring in all the colors of the Rainbow. I used sentiments from Taylored Expressions Mini Strips Rainbow and Mini Strips Asymmetrical die. Now it was time to put my card together. Foam tape was added to the back of my stitching before added to a A2 card base. I glued my Rainbow Arch with liquid glue and added foam tape to the back of my clouds. Foam tape was added to the back of my sentiments before being added to my card. Lastly, I added some glitter glue to my clouds. I took the photo wet of course I couldn’t wait so in person it looks sparkly. Well that was so much fun and I will have another stitched card to share with you soon. I hope you like my card.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge

Hi everyone! I’m super excited to participate in the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge The theme for March is Coffee+Green.

Aren’t these the cutest Gnomes? They are called Gnome For Christmas by Sugarpea Designs. I had to use them for this challenge. I had stamped the gnomes and trees and cut them out for me previously and never got around to using them. Does that happen to you? I believe they are stamped on Neenah Solar White 80lb. with Memento Tuxedo ink and cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut. I colored them in with my Copic Markers and Ohuhu Markers. Later I stamped the coffee cups and fussy cut them out.

Next, I used the Gina K Designs Diagonal Stripes Rubber Background Stamp on colored cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Lucky ink. I love the green ink with the Diagonal stripes pattern. I then cut out some white cardstock for my snow. My diagonal stripes and white paper cardstock was cut to 4x 5 1/4. I glued them to a green heavy weight side folding card base. I glued my gnomes and trees with their coffees. One of my gnomes coffee has a foam square. I think they all need the coffee to stay warm in the snow. I used a gray copic to dray some snow lines. I stamped a sentiment from My Creative Time Let’s Venti with the same Lucky green ink and cut it out with the coordinating die. I die-cut 3 more to layer for dimension. I then adhered with liquid glue. Lastly, I added some white gel accents and white liquid drops. I hope you like it. It was a fun card to make.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Shenanigan’s

Hi everyone! I’m back with some more St. Patrick’s days Memorydex Cards. I had to use The Greeting Farm Good Luck Anya and A Colorful Life Designs Stencils for my projects today.

On my 1st Memorydex card I used the retired Hedi Swapp Memorydex card dies. I cut it out with white cardstock about 3 times. I like them sturdy. I ink blended it with Lucky ink from Lawn Fawn using A Colorful Life Designs Shamrock Spray Stencil. I then splattered it with some gold paint from Gansai Tambi Starry Watercolors. I had colored up this cute Digital Good Luck Anya from The Greeting Farm printed on Neenah Solar White using my Copic Markers. I sized her a little smaller to fit my Memorydex card perfectly. I then fussy cut her out. I glued my Memorydex card together and glued some glitter green washi tape for fun. I added Anya and my sentiment strip with foam tape. Lastly, I added sequins and white gel accents. I love how it came out!

On this Memorydex card, I printed this SVG that I had in my Cricut Explore Library. I printed it about 3 times. One using this pinkish cardstock. I used a large Shamrock from a die set from Stamps Of Life. I cut it out in green cardstock and used the Shamrocks Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I splattered it with some more gold splatter and used my fan brush to paint the ends of my shamrock. I colored Good Luck Anya with my Copic Markers and chose to match her to the cardstock choices. I love pink and green together and always use that combo this time of year. I glued my Memorydex cards together and I glued my large shamrock with liquid glue. I added Anya and my sentiment strip with foam tape and glued some embellishments. Lastly, I added some white gel accents. I hope you like my cards. I like how my Memorydex cards came out. St Patty’s Day!

Hi everyone! I have some St. Patty’s Day projects today using stencils, dies, and SVG Files. I’m not Irish at least I don’t think so but I have always loved the fun theme of green, shamrocks, Leprechauns, Rainbows, and Pots of Gold.

For my first project I made a A2 card. I started out with white cardstock. A card panel smaller than a A2 size 4×5.25. I used the Shamrocks Stencil and Shamrocks Spray Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I ink blended with Lucky Clover and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink. I used the Shamrocks background stencil on top and the Shamrocks Spray towards the lower part of my panel. I then splattered my card panel with some Gold Paint from Gansai Tambi Starry Colors using a Fan brush. I also painted the ends of my panel for fun. You can use a gold brush pen to achieve this look too.

I then had these mini strips sentiments in my box of sentiments that I added with foam squares. I die cut the ampersand die 3 times from a Spellbinders Club kit Small Die Of The Month using white cardstock and glues it with liquid glue. Lastly, I added my panel to a green heavy weight card base and added some sequins. I love how it came out.

I’m getting into Memroydex cards again or maybe you know them as Rolodex cards or files. I recently did a Live over on my friends YouTube channel LV Handmade and we made Memorydex cards. So fun. It’s smaller than a card and definitely a fun way to make someone smile when they receive it. I ink blended using the Shamrocks Stencil and Lucky Clover to this Memorydex that is a SVG file that I cut out using my Cricut Electronic Cutting Machine. Another thing on my list was to use my Cricut, Cameo Silhouette, and SVG files again. I also used my fan brush to apply gold paint to the ends to match my card.

Another SVG I had cut out was this Pinch Proof Shamrock using my Silhouette Cameo that I colored in with my copic markers. I love that it had this banner. Unfortunately my machine didn’t like the font of the sentiment included with the file. I did use a mini strip sentiment from my stash and glued it to the center of my banner. I glued my Memorydex card to another white Memorydex card to make my memorydex stronger. I then added my Pinch Proof Shamrock to my Memorydex card with foam squares. Lastly, I added some green sequins. I hope you like both my card and Memorydex card and perhaps it got you inspired to make something green. Warm Wishes-Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge

Hello everyone! I have a fun card that I made for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge. The theme for February is Coffee+Hearts. Definitely one of my favorite challenges to enter.

These bears are too cute. Can you believe this is the first time for me to use this stamp and die set from MFT? I have had it in my stash dying for me to use it. It’s called BB Cool Day. I loved that it had this heart image and of course coffee. I stamped my images onto Neenah Solar White 80lb with Momento Tuxedo black ink. I then colored them in with my Copic Markers. I cut them all out with the Coordinating dies.

For my background, I used Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock again and used the snowflake image and stamped that in Catherine Pooler Martini ink and then I stamped that cute heart image in Simon Says Stamp Twilight Pawsitively Saturated ink. I did that repeatedly until I was content. I then cut out my background with a retired A2 rectangle die from MFT. I stamped my sentiment in that cute sign and then glued all my images onto my panel. My panel was added to a A2 gray heavy weight notecard. Lastly, I added some gel accents with my Gelly roll pens in white and black. I hope you like my card, It was so fun and I enjoyed using this cute stamp and die set from my stash. I love that big cuppa too. These challenges are always so much fun. I hope I could inspire you in anyway.

Woodblock Wednesday!

Hi everyone! I’m participating in Woodblock Wednesday and I have a Valentine card to share. I love my wood block stamps and I love this challenge hosted by Amy Tsuruta.

Up above are the woodblock stamps I used for my card. I picked up some New valentine things at my local Michaels Store and I could not help buying the Critters stamp and the Valentine sentiment stamp while I was there. I may have grabbed a couple of others too ..they are too cute. The background is by using a older woodblock stamp by Hero Arts that I have had forever. I first started out stamping the Critters stamp on white cardstock with black ink and coloring with my Copic Markers. I then cut it out with a heart die die from Heffy Doodle. Next I stamped the background all over in Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink on white cardstock. I then stamped the other woodblock Valentine sentiment using black ink using a stamp positioner tool that I have had forever. It really helped or my sentiment would have looked really crooked.

I cut out my background with a retired rectangle die from MFT. I then glued it to a A2 gray heavy weight card base. I placed my heart image onto my background with foam tape. Lastly, I added sequins from Studio Katia in Majestic Fusion and some white highlights to my critters. I hope you like it. It was so much fun to make.

BYSH Cardmakers Sketch 30

Hi everyone! Today for February 2023 starts a new sketch for BYSH Cardmakers

This is Sketch 30. This is a really fun and I think easy Sketch.

Isn’t Sketch 30 a fun sketch? I started out with some red 65lb cardstock. I made that my largest panel and cut it the correct size using my paper trimmer. I then used a Christmas paper pack from Joann’s to cut my other pieces out. I used a circle die from Waffle Flower crafts to cut out pattern paper from the paper pack. Because my pattern paper seemed really thin I did cut out some red cardstock to layer my pattern paper on to make it a little more sturdy. On my paper trimmer I was able to round two of the corners like the sketch. You can easily trim it with your scissors if you don’t have a corner rounder tool.

I finally got to use this stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and Pretty Pink Posh’s STAMPtember from a couple of years ago called Skiing Bear. I stamped the cute mouse, tree, and sentiment with black ink onto white cardstock. I colored them in with my Copic Markers and fussy cut the sentiment. I use the coordinating dies to cut my mouse and tree out. I really wanted a girl skating for my image but I couldn’t find that in my stash. Maybe, this mouse was skating or watching the girl skate. Anywhoo I cut out another circle but in white cardstock. I cut it to look like snow. I then added foam tape to the back of it before gluing it onto my circle pattern paper die-cut. I put my card together with liquid glue and glued my panel to a white A2 card base. I added a little bit of foam tape to the back of my images. That finishes my card, I really had fun making it and I cannot wait to see your cards. Make sure to add them to the FB group to be considered for a prize.
