Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge July-Stars

Hello everyone! I’m super excited that A Colorful Life Designs is a sponsor for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge#19 for July. The Theme is Stars. You must make a new Christmas Card featuring Tea, Coffee, or Hot Cocoa using Stars. Also don’t forget to use my coupon code VonFan10 to save at A Colorful Life Designs. Also you can win a gift code to A Colorful Life Designs by participating in this challenge.

On my Caffeinated Christmas card, I chose to use the Fa La La Stencil, Night Sky Stencil, Coffee Stamp, and Cozy Knit Stencil. I first grabbed some Navy A2 Cardstock and used the Night Sky Stencil with some White pigment ink from Gina K Designs for my stars. On white cardstock, I ink blended Lumberjack Plaid Distress ink with the Fa La La Stencil and cut my background with my paper trimmer. I cut out a coffee mug SVG with my Silhouette Cameo using white cardstock from the Silhouette Cameo Design Store. I ink blended the mug with the Knit Stencil using Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink and Lumberjack Plaid Distress ink. The used Ground Espresso Distress ink for the coffee in my mug.

I stamped my sentiment from the Coffee Stamp set with black ink on white cardstock and cut it with my paper trimmer. I put my card together. I love my different elements to be wonky. How about you? My sentiment is added with foam tape and everything is glued with liquid glue to a A2 card base. Lastly, I added some sequins. I hope you like my Caffeinated Christmas card using Stars. I hope you give it a try. There will be a gift code prize which is always exciting. Visit A Colorful Life Designs here and Link your cards here Use hashtag #cccc19 so we can see your cards.

Woodblock Wednesday-March 2023

Hello everyone! Today it’s Woodblock Wednesday. I have a Fairy card using some woodblock Stamps. This Challenge is hosted by my friend Amy Tsuruta.

I chose to use these fun woodblock Stamps from my stash. The fairy one was given to me by a sweet crafty friend a few years ago. It’s from Hampton Art. The wood sentiment is from Hero Arts and I cannot remember where I got it. I first stated out with some watercolor paper Canson XL 140lb. I stamped and heat embossed my fairy stamp. It didn’t stamp perfectly but it was good enough and I knew I was water coloring so my coloring could be on the messy side.. I then used my watercolor Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color in my image. I hadn’t used them for a long time. I did a few layers, until I was content. I would just let it dry and come back to it.

Next, I cut out my stamped image with a smaller A2 rectangle die. I did add some white gel accents to my fairy, mushroom, and greenery. I then stamped and heat embossed my sentiment. I did cut off my sentiment a little, but it didn’t bother me. I popped up my sentiment banner with some foam tape and added it to my panel. Lastly, I added some sequins and added my card front to a A2 card base with liquid glue. I hope you like my card. I had fun making it and getting my woodblock stamps out. Thanks to Amy for this fun challenge. I hope you’ll give it a try!

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Make Today Amazing!

Hello everyone!! I hope you are doing well, hopefully today is Amazing for you. I have a card using this gorgeous Mermaid from the current My Monthly Hero Kit. I will have supplies listed down below for you!

I love this mermaid from the kit and I could not wait to color her up. I stamped her onto white heavy weight cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored her with my Copic Markers. I wanted a fun card so I gave her purple hair. After all mermaids are magical right? I colored her with BG Markers and V Markers. I love her fin, it’s beautiful. I cut her out with the coordinating dies. I colored up a Jellyfish and some seaweed but they didn’t fit my design for this panel so next time I will use those.

I made my background using white cardstock and the Shimmering Sea Foil Plate from Trinity Stamps. I used Glimmer Cobalt blue Foil and my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foiling System. I love foil. I then ink blended with Lawn Fawn Moonstone Dye ink and Catherine Pooler Cummerbund dye ink. I cut out my background using Hero Arts Nested Rectangles using second to the largest die.

I placed my panel into my Misti Stamping Platform and stamped a sentiment from Tim Holtz Noteworthy using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I added my mermaid with foam tape and added some clear bubbles from Doodles Paper Playground. My panel was then added to my A2 card base with liquid glue. I added some clear glaze and that finishes off this magical card. I hope like it. I will be linking it to the Hero Arts Stay Crafty with a Bog Named Hero June Challenge-By The Sea.

Thank you for stopping by!
