Holiday Slimline Cards

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I have two Slimline cards today using a Beautiful New Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs October Release.

On these Slimlinecards I’m using the Village Edger 1 Stencil. This is such a Beautiful Stencil set. You get 2 pieces, positive and negative. I first started out with kraft cardstock, placing Stencil down and ink blended it with red ink from Catherine Pooler. I then used blue ink for the sky and white ink for the ground. When I was done inking up my panel I flicked some white ink and a little bit of water onto my panel for snow. I cut out my panel with a Slimline die from Simon Say Stamp. It cuts out the inner portion and the scalloped portion. So it looked better with a white scalloped frame so I cut it out again. I stamped a sentiment from a Spellbinders Stamp set and added some snowflake embellishments for fun. My panel and frame was then glued to a Slimline card base.

So on this card I did the opposite which was so easy to do. I just stamped the sentiment with black ink and used the leftover scalloped kraft frame since I inkblended the stencils onto white cardstock. I did not flick white ink on this one I hope you like my cards. I like the different looks of white and kraft cardstock. I can’t wait to send them out this season. Thankful For You

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I made some Fall cards using Spellbinders Dies and a Embossing folder I guess you would say I used non traditional colors. I made 2 A2 cards and I had leftovers diecuts for a Slimline Card. No Stamping on these cards. I really like how they came out, let me show you!

I first used a Paper pack of cardstock 65lb from Michaels Recollections. The name of the pack is called Boutique Floral, and you get these colors featured. I just didn’t use the pink cardstock. With this cardstock I used the Spellbinders Autumn Leaves Die Set. I cut all 9 Leaves out using the 4 colors of cardstock. I then sprayed them with Tim Holtz Antique Bronze Distress Mica Spray. I then put them aside to dry.

On this Slimline Card I cut out some white cardstock using the Spellbinders Moroccan Kaleidoscope Slimline Die. I inkblended it using Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink and a blending brush. I also layered it on another piece of cardstock inkblended with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. I also sprayed some more Mica Spray Stain on it to match. I added my Slimline panel to a Slimline Card base and arranged my Autumn Leaves and added hem with foam squares. The word die is from Simon Says Stamp that I cut out in coordinating cardstock and also added with foam squares. Gold Pearl embellishments were added to complete my card.

On my A2 cards I chose to use the Beautiful Spellbinders Falling Leaves Embossing Folder. I ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum Machine with white cardstock. I also ink blended with Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen. I rearranged my leaves adding them with foam squares. This is another word die from the same die set from Simon Says Stamp using the coordinating paper pack. Adding the same Gold Pearl embellishments.

And here is my final card. I tried to make a wreath look on this one. As you can see in this photo I have more leaves leftover for another card, I love that. I hope you enjoyed my Fall Cards. I had so much fun making them.

Underwater Cards

Hi everyone! I have some fun cards to share using A Colorful Life Designs August Release. There is a Master Creator Bundle Deal that I believe is a must have and on sale for 20% off. If you just want to shop for individual stencils or the New Stamp Set. Use my code for VonFan10 for 10% off your purchase.

On these cards I used New Stencils from the New Release School of fish, Swimming Fish, Underwater edger 4, Underwater edger 3, and Underwater edger 2. I love that these were added onto the August Release. I love these underwater stencils. On this card I used inks Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink, Catherine Pooler Bay Breeze Ink, and Catherine Pooler Cove Blue ink on white cardstock. Aren’t these colors of ink fun? I used both the positive and negative pieces of stencils to create my underwater scenes. I placed my stencils on my Make Art Stay-tion using my magnets. I loved using smaller blending brushes for the fish stencils. When I was done I cut my background out with my paper trimmer. I added a stamped sentiment I had in my stash, I like to have sentiments on hand to help my card process seem faster. I added sequins and then added my panel to a A2 card base.

I used the same inks on this card with a little bit of a different design. I had ran this Lawn Fawn Giant Sending Big Hugs die through my die cutting machine and then kept my diecut in place as I ink blended using the stencils. I cut it with my paper trimmer and added it to a A2 card base. I added sequins and that was it. A super easy card. Both cards were really easy using these stencils. I hope you like them!

Hey Girl Hey…

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. I love ink blending so I made some quick Slimline Cards today. Let’s get started!

I had to make some quick Thank You cards and I wanted Slimline cards so I used Neenah Solar White cardstock 80 lb, STAMPlorations Burst Slimline Stencil with Distress Oxide inks in Salvaged Patina and Flamingo Kitsch with my Blending Tools. I am so in love with these new Distress ink colors. I will be making more cards with this combo. I then used for my sentiment Unity Stamps Say It Big Coordinating Die Set. I cut out the shadow in black cardstock using my Spellbinders Platinum Diecutting Machine 8.5 and ink blended white cardstock for one of my words with Salvaged Patina before cutting it out. The other is cut out with pink cardstock. I really love these dies. I used for the Mini Strips Fun and Funny from Taylored Expressions that were already embossed with Versamark and Wow Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder onto black cardstock. I then have them cut out with the Taylored Expressions Asymmetrical die and placed in a storage box ready to go from Taylored Expressions. It is really handy to have sentiments ready to go!

I cut out my inked backgrounds with Trinity Stamps Slimline Card Series Scalloped Card Panels and Banners, using the largest slimline die. I then glued my Slimline panels to my Slimline Card bases with Bearly Arts Glue. I then added my word sentiments with the same liquid glue. Lastly, I added sequins from Catherine Pooler Romance with On Point Glue. This glue is a really strong glue and my sequins don’t fall off when I use it. That has been my favorite sequins mix for a while now. I hope you enjoyed my cards, they were so easy and fun to make. I will be back with another blog post soon.

Make A Wish and a Light Up Card!

Hello Everyone! I am so excited I made my first light up card using Pear Blossom Press EZ-LIGHT and MFT Stamps. I have two Birthday cards for you today. Let’s get started!

Aren’t they cute?? I love how my backgrounds turned out too. I colored the girl image on the right from MFT Wish Granted for the Dailymarker30day that I posted on Instagram. She was stamped onto Neenah Solar White 80lb with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink, I then fussy cut her out. I decided to color another one of these sweet images because I really love fairies and this one is just too cute.

To make my backgrounds I started out with a A2 black piece of cardstock 80lb. I then used Distress Ink Kitsch Flamingo Distress ink adding ink in a circular motion in the center of my panel. I then added Seedless Preserves Distress ink. I did that a few times taking turns until I got the look I wanted using my blending tools. I then sprayed Distress Oxide Spray in Shaded Lilac and when it was dried I used Picket Fence Distress Spray. When that was dry I added Hydracolour watercolor paints from Etsy in Chrome flicking drops with my paintbrush. I then made another panel repeating the same process to use for the other girl image I colored. On this Panel I used Tim Holtz Swirling Stars Thinlits that I diecut on this panel because I wanted to make a light up card. My first one that had been on my list of things to make. It was quite easy to do just leaning about placement which I used scotch tape to place my wires where I wanted them. I added some vellum so that my stars were not too bright and then added foam tape around my light button and placed around to even my card front before I added it to a black A2 card base. I used the New Bunny Moon from TRHD for the stamp image that says “press me” that I stamped on white cardstock in Jet Black ink and colored it with a Copic marker before fussy cutting it out.

Isn’t it fun?? I love it so much and it was really easy to put together. I was nervous for nothing LOL. I stamped the sentiment with Altenew Obsidian black dye ink onto white cardstock I copic colored and then cut out with my paper trimmer. They were then added to both of my cards with liquid glue.

On this one I used the stars from the Tim Holtz Swirling Stars die set and cut them out with a purple glitter cardstock. On both cards the fairies wings and wands have coarse glitter on them. I hope you like my cards they were so much fun to make especially the light up one of course.

Floral Sprigs Stenciling and Foiled Cards

Hi everyone! I hope your having a great day. I have been having sooo much fun with my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, and I have two cards to share with you today!

I first started out with Broken China Distress Oxide ink, white cardstock 110 lb., Blending Brush, and the Floral Sprigs Stencil from Scrapbook.com. I used two 8.5x 11 pieces of cardstock so that I had enough background to cover 2-3 cards. I really love this stencil and it was perfect for my cards today. I added some silver flicks of paint using my paint brush and water to match the Silver Foil. I used the Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Rectangles plates and Silver Glimmer Foil. Even though it looks gold in my photos it is really a nice silver. I then cut my rectangle panel with my paper trimmer. I then used Laurie Willison’s Effortless sentiments with the sliver glimmer foil onto light blue cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I also used the die to cut out two more diecuts to layer my sentiment for dimension. I added my panel to a A2 card base and my sentiment with liquid glue. Sympathy cards are so hard to make but I really love this one. I then added a hemp bow and different shades of blue sequins to match.

On this card I made a Mini Slimline card using the Mini Slimline Rectangle Wafer Dies from Simon Says Stamp. I then foiled the flower on blue cardstock from Yana Smakula’s Blooming Birthday Collection Glimmering Peony Glimmer Plate with Silver foil and then I fussy cut it out. I love this peony it’s so pretty. Next time I will color it but I love just seeing the foil on this card. It’s so beautiful. I then added a sentiment using the More Sentiments Glimmer plates on the same blue cardstock and foil using my paper trimmer to cut it out. My panel with then added with foam tape to a card base and I popped the Peony up with foam tape as well as the sentiment. Lots of dimension. I then added silver sequins to match. I hope you have enjoyed my cards.

I Like You (A Lotl)

Hi my friends! Happy Heart Day/Happy Valentine’s Day! Yay I love this holiday. It is also my moms Birthday so it has always been a special day for me growing up! I have a cute card to share with you using Lawn Fawn. I also have a YouTube Process Video of the second card I made. You can watch here:https://youtu.be/zWtcC4pOr18

Isn’t this little guy cute? I used the I Like You(A Lotl), Scripty Be, Scripty Mine, Conversation Heart Stencils. I first cut out some Neenah Solar White cardstock and placed the solid hearts stencil down using magnets from my Make Art mat. I then used the stencil with Lawn Fawn Grape Jelly, and Minty Fresh Dye ink. I went diagonally across my panel with my inks using my Cotton Tail Blending Brushes. I then used the other stencil with the words using Dusty Concord and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks. I then cut it out with a Lawn Fawn stitched A2 rectangle die. I stamped the image with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink onto Sweet Sentiment carstock and colored him in and seaweed and bubbles with my Copic Markers. I then fussy cut my images out. I cut out the Scripty Dies with some holographic thick cardboard. I believe it came from my daughter’s doll packaging from Christmas. I wish I had more of it. So I used Chipboard and silver glittered paper for my second card. I added my panel to a A2 card base. I then added my image with foam squares and added my bubbles and heart. Lastly, I added sequins and sparkle. I hope you like my card, thank you for stopping by!

Here is the inside of cards. I stamped my images and sentiment with the same inks I used on my card panel. I hope you like them. Thanks for stopping by!

St. Patrick’s Day/Good Luck!

Hi everyone! I have some St. Patrick’s Day Cards to share with you today! Even though I’m still working on Valentine cards. Check out my recent YouTube video herehttps://youtu.be/4_laiYwLqg8 where you can see my whole process!

So I first cut out some Georgia Pacific 110lb. cardstock approx 6×6. I then used Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink with my Cotton Tail Blending Brush and used just this one ink color over my panel. I then placed the Shamrocks stencil over my panel and used Rina K Designs Neon Screamin’ Green Glitz Gel with a spatula. My gel was a little dry but I made it work. When it was dry I cut my panel out with a A2 rectangle die from the Greetery. I added some Nugget Hydracolour metallic watercolor paint splatters to my panel for extra sparkle. I cut out some scalloped circles both from Sunny Studio Stamps dies. I ink blended the white one with Scrapbook.com’s Gold Metallic pigment ink. I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Brutus Monroe Super Sentimental Stamp Set using Versafine ink and SSS clear embossing powder. I placed foam tape in between my circles before gluing them to my panel. My panel was then added to a Black A2 heavy weight card base. Lastly, I added some gold sequins to match.

Here is a another card I made before this one, let me know which one is your favorite! Thank you for stopping by!
